I realise it is late in the year however I intend to set up a new competition however I want to make sure there's still enough people interested in taking part.
I'm setting up a discord server for it and I'm willing to do the most of the work I just ask that people be respectful towards one another. If I find that people cannot discuss in a respectful and positive way both parties will be given only 1 warning and if it continues they will be removed permanently whether you are "right or wrong". Yes it's a Competition, yes we are all of different veiws and backgrounds but we must respect that and push aside our differences so that our interest for and enjoyment of numismatics is what is shared.
I am considering a prize, my suggestion is that the winner gets to choose a charity to which I (and hopefully others) will donate to.
If it's of interest please let me know. I was thinking at least 10 of us, let me know if I'm being too hopeful.
I’m willing to participate if there is enough demand from other members to participate too.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

Hi all just to keep you updated, I've not forgot, looks like we've got a good amount of people. Will set it up in the next few days and get it ready as soon as possible :)
I'm not the greatest with technology but looks to be all ready, please do let me know if you think I've missed something. If you can't or don't want to use discord, you are welcome to submit your entries here.
Its not set but I'm thinking the deadline for submissions should be end of November, then vote through the first week of December. Again suggestions always welcome.
I've got down 10 categories:
Australia and Oceania
Asia
North America
South America
Africa
Europe
Ancients
Medievil
Exonumia
Banknotes
One entry per category but don't have to necessarily enter all of them.
When it comes to voting you can only vote once per category.
There'll be 10 “winners”, if someone wins in multiple then I'm thinking there could be a “champion”. No prize as such but whoever wins can suggest a charity people can donate to, there's no obligation to donate, just a nice gesture.

Hope that works for everyone,
I cannot use discord, do you mean here as in on the thread or as in a pm to you?
In the past at least it was always a anonymous game

I'm new to competitions, could you write a guide on how to apply? And what should it even look like?
Thanks in advance!
Tim
Hi there, great to hear your interested. This is what I've got so far…
if you like you can submit on direct message to me through numista or here on thread and I'll upload to discord on your behalf or can go directly through discord server: https://discord.gg/Wxe9pSJ9
Simply as good a photo as possible, don't have to be professional photographer just bear in mind how other people will judge it.
One entry per category, need a photo or 2 plus a description plus name/username. I'm thinking maybe names on paper in the photo so people can't just copy paste but feel like everyone's mature enough to only use their coins.
Im saying deadline end of November but flexible on that.
This is my first time “running” it so it's not going to be as elaborate as years before but I'm all ears, let me know if there's any improvements you think would be beneficial.
Prize is choosing a charity for me and hopefully a few others to donate to. Can donate at your own will directly, no need to share bank details with me or anyone else in the competition.

Whichever way is easiest for you, I can upload to discord for you. I'm thinking name on paper in the image. When it comes to voting I can email or message you the options here, again whichever is best for you :)

Hi lovely to hear from you. Please could you explain further for me sorry. You are welcome to use made up names or usernames if you don't want to share personal details.

Earlier, people would message their nomination to the organizer on numista itself. The organizer would post the nominations on discord without revealing who submitted which entry. People would vote to choose a winner in each category.

Ok sure I will see if I can set that up. Better to stay with what people know. Welcome to message me on numista, discord or my email jbridger311@gmail.com with your entries :)
Thank you for organizing jbridger311I just sent in my applications to this MPCC for some categories.
