Hello Numistas!

Maybe its a silly question, but I always use the advanced search feature, usually I put range dates as 1800-1900 to search only those coins, but sometimes I got a very old coind and I would like to search from ranges as -400BC to 400AD

What should I write in this field box? I noticed the minus (-) character doesnt work

As far as I found out only a single Georgian date with minus sign works.

Hello,
You may now search for BC date ranges.
For instance, enter "-400 - 400" or "-400-400" for coins struck between 400 BC and 400 AD.

I have just tried a negative date in a search and it doesn't appear to work. Searching in “Rome / Roman Republic”, face value “denarius”, text “bon event”. This search gives a single result (which I'm looking for) but if I add the year “-62” (corresponding to the 62 BC year in the coin's description) Numista returns “no result has been found”.

Hello,

The coin N#66105 is not dated, so the field “year” is expected to not match it (unless you used the special value “ND” - non dated). For non dated coins where the date of issue is still known, you can use the field “Gregorian date”.

Thank you for the explanation.
