Hello Trishabrowne,
Could you post an image and give the size and weight of the coin? It's very difficult to help you without these pieces of information.
ill try get a pic up as quick as i can...its 23mm diameter..i found out that its a coin from the united kingdom dated 1693 ...its a farthing...i dont no alot about coins so any help is greatly appreciated...its not a very clear coin so i dont no if a picture will do it justice but ill try
Hi there.

I'll wait for your picture but I think you're talking about an irish coin.

I've got one like this.

I don't have my coins nor catalogue here with me so I can't check anything but if you have the World Coins 1601-1700 check the irish section, it might be under something like "war coinage".

Not sure ! The king James II was the same king for England and Ireland, and Scotland too !

I think it has been a coinage for every different kingdom ! And the most important informations must be at the other side of the coin, like the denomination and a typical logo !

Just have a look at these ones :

ok its identical to number 8 on the website link you posted

its not in that good of condition tho
any ideas on how much this coin is worth?
As you can read on the link of the 8th, the lot of the 2 coins was evaluated £150-200, and was sold 320 GBP plus fees (+/-10%)
