I just got Qatar and Dubai in for my 340th issuer, as well as a Han Dynasty Wu Zhu to have China - Ancient for my 341st- the latter is my second ever Antiquity issuer, besides Rome.

Edit: Will update with pics later.
Here's the two I got the week before: Issuer 340 (Country #205): China - Ancient
Issuer 341 (Country #206): Qatar and Dubai
plus two of the new issuers I got at the weekend coin market: Issuer 342 (Country #207): Ruanda-Burundi
Issuer 343: Princely State of Chamba
The former is the only circulating type ever struck for the short-lived issuer, a transitory entity between the independence of the Belgian Congo in 1960 and the independence of Rwanda and Burundi themselves; while the latter, from the Himalayan princely state of Chamba, is actually unlisted by Krause, according to Numista.
And finally, saving the best for last, my gold fanam from..... Issuer 344: Princely state of Cochin
83. Kenya (Formerly only had British east Africa)
84. Malawi
85. West African States (French Franc thing)
86. Namibia
87. Uganda
Added more coins to
76. Botswana
80. Ghana
32. South Africa
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Cita: "CassTaylor"That fills in the last major blank spot on Africa for me- now there is only Lesotho and Western Sahara!
Both are easy to find and very cheap. So it won't be a problem to complete Africa.
Lesotho I can believe, but Western Sahara I have yet to come across in person- although Numista suggests most of their coins are very common! Maybe I'll swap for it.
Cita: "CassTaylor"Very nice, and that's one I needed too.
Meanwhile I only got this one:
Issuer 345 (Country #208): Botswana
That fills in the last major blank spot on Africa for me- now there is only Lesotho and Western Sahara!
A relative of mine went to Lesotho a few years ago. I sent them on a mission for coins and notes on top of her work duties. Haha! In her experience the vast majority of the currency used was South Africa Rand. Maybe trading for a Lesotho coin may be easier.
332. Kyzikos (Mysia)
333. Seleukid Empire
334. Maroneia
335. Teutonic Order
336. Prussian Partition of Poland
The first three are Ancient Greek issuers added in the respective reorganization.
I'm actually not sure if I still have "Greece (ancient)" - the one coin I have listed for it has not been published yet, so I'm not sure whether it's included in the stats.
Technically, the numbering is a little off - I had 333 issuers as of my previous post here (June 16th), but I'm starting from 332 here (not from 334).
I know that I lost one issuer when Tatarstan was moved (correctly, but sadly) to Tokens, but for the numbers to work out, I must have lost another issuer at some point since June, and I'm not quite sure exactly when.
It might well have been Greece (ancient), if pages that have not been published yet don't count; I don't know enough to tell one way or another.
It's also possible that Kyzikos was already an issuer when I counted the 333; but if so I must have lost another issuer at some point before June, since I had 332 on November 3rd (and only added one new issuer between that date and June).
337. Riau (probably not, but can't find anything else it could be)
338. Khanate of Khiva
The Khiva coin was actually bought in August, together with the coins in the previous post, but the seller attributed it as Khoqand (apparently because his seller said so), and I didn't find out the true attribution until today.
As for issuer 337... well, I had 336 on August 29th, and I had 337 immediately before I entered the Khiva coin, so I must have received an issuer back at some point, and Riau was the only one that I wasn't sure of being there before.
As I've already mentioned, it's probably not that, but I'm not sure what else it could be.
(I'm saying "received back" because I was missing an issuer in the August 29th post, compared to my previous listing - not sure what happened there either.)
Went to a coin show yesterday for the first time in a year. Like always, most issuers I am missing were out of my price-range. But luckily, there were some exceptions.
325. French India (Pondicherry)
326. Muscat and Oman
327. Ruanda-Urundi
328. French Somaliland
Also, from my aunt today:
329. South Africa - Pre-Union (Z.A.R.)
Adding this retroactively - I got the coin in April 2018 (!), but the specific type in question was not yet listed at the time. I accidentally came across my comment about this coin (in the 2nd edition of this thread) and decided to add it.
As such, it becomes the first coin in my collection with a N/A grade (as I no longer recall which grade it was - though probably G or VG).
Actual recent purchase this time. Had a few other recent purchases, some of which had not been attributed yet; it's possible that I'll get a few more new issuers out of that (one type that would have been a new issuer is not on Numista yet).
Managed to increase my issuers through a local coin fair and a club auction, so here goes:-
Issuer 379, Country 244 = Austria › Austrian states › Further Austria
Issuer 380, Country 244 = Switzerland › Swiss cantons › Zürich
Issuer 381, Country 244 = Switzerland › Swiss cantons › City of Chur
Issuer 382, Country 244 = Italy › Italian states › County of Gorizia
Issuer 383, Country 244 = Germany › German states › Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont
Issuer 384, Country 244 = Germany › German states › Grand duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin
Issuer 385, Country 244 = Germany › German states › Free Hanseatic city of Lübeck
Issuer 386, Country 244 = Denmark › Greenland
Issuer 387, Country 244 = Vietnam › French Cochinchina
Issuer 388, Country 245 = Cilician Armenia (Been after this for a while, nice coin!)
Plus 2 more issuers I need to add to the Catalogue, Should hit 400 Issuers by end of year.
341. Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Duchy of
342. Pomerania, Swedish dominion of
343. Saint-Gallen, City of
344. Venice, Republic of (Venetian Cyprus)
Found a place with a lot of relatively cheap German States coins; might well end up getting another dozen or two new German States issuers before the end of the year.
The Venetian Cyprus coin was bought as Crusader, which would've made it a new country for me; alas, it turned out to only be a new issuer. Still at 232 countries.
Issuer 324: German States: County of Wied-Runkel
Issuer 325: German States: Free Hanseatic City of Lubeck
Issuer 326: Faroe Islands
Issuer 327: Palau
Issuer 328: Equatorial Guinea
345. British Antarctic Territory [also country #233]
346. Württemberg, Kingdom of
Also bought a bunch of low-grade ancients, some of which might turn out to be new issuers if attributed (even hoping for a new country in one case, though it's unlikely).
EDIT:
347. India (ancient) [also country #234] - Nagas of Narwar (type attribution tentative, but definitely that issuer)
Not actually one of this morning's purchases, but a coin I bought in October that I accidentally figured out while trying to identify said purchases (which I didn't actually identify).
Ironically enough, India (ancient) was the new country I hoped to get, so I guess that's irrelevant now?
348. Kingdom of Serbia [should really be Despotate of Serbia, or possibly Serbian Despotate]
One more purchase from the same October coin shop visit, which I actually identified over a month ago but only recently got around to entering into Numista.
Still waiting for some monetary windfalls that could get me even more issuers (or even countries!) this year.
The prize mentioned in the previous post did not arrive until very late December, so I didn't end up buying anything with it until early January.
A few more coins that might turn out to be new issuers are awaiting identification.
350. Cilician Armenia [also country #235]
351. Poland, Kingdom of
I'm actually not sure what's up with the whole Kingdom of Poland thing; there appears to be some duplication between it and Lithuania (and possibly elsewhere).
I'll probably lose it anyway when the Gdańsk coins are moved to Gdańsk (...if they're supposed to; it's not clear).
Actually had the coin for years - in fact, I've bought it in a place that no longer exists (the fair moved away several years ago, and the building had since been torn down). The type just han't been added to Numista until recently (and I didn't notice when it was).
I expect to gain Elbing and, less certainly, Toruń in the coming days due to the apparently-upcoming Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth reorganization; don't have them yet, however.
Cilician Armenia was a deliberate purchase; actually, I bought three coins from there, in hopes that at least one would be in good enough condition to be identifiable.
(As it turned out, exactly one was - for now, anyway.)
This set of 6 (Used to have a lot of communist era coins, but sold them)

Been a while since this thread was active, but I thought it was appropriate because I didn't add any countries today - but a lot of issuers...
363. Mettmann, District of
364. Scotland
365. Poland, Duchies of (Duchy of Warsaw)
366. Augsburg, Bishopric of
367. Liege, Prince-bishopric of
368. Modena, Duchy of
369. Saxony (Albertinian Line), Electorate of
370. Anhalt-Bernburg, Duchy of
371. Sabbioneta, Duchy of
372. Milan, Duchy of
373. Bremen, Free imperial city of
Also got a really neat coin from Papal Bologna that I had to add to the catalogue! Wouldn't get me any new issuers even if it gets added, though, because Papal Bologna isn't counted separately from Papal States proper (yet).
What I can remember:
Korean Empire
German state: Aachen
Swiss cantons: Bern (City, Canton), Bishopric Sitten
Austrian states: Further Austria, Salzburg
Also country 239 - Kievan Rus. Definitely not a country I expected to ever obtain! But those little Tmutarakan imitations are much more common than Kievan coins proper.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Cita: "Frenchlover"Jump from 405 to 409 without addition of coins, so certainly a split of country, indian princely states, german notgeld, French notgeld ?
You're right, the countries ranking fluctuates, I remember that day when the "bank of Nauru" went bankrupt, I had trouble to find out who was the ugly duckling that stole a country from me
I'll follow it more closely.
First time I'm writing here, I believe.
Last week I added:
291) Moscow, Grand principality of
292) Golden Horde
293) Crimea, Khanate of
294) Pantikapaion
The famous tokens that complemented an empire of stamps and animal appreciation for the wealthy businessman who wanted to get away from it all.
These tokens slightly smaller than a penny and halfpenny cost him £5 in fines and a cease and desist order!
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Never gone for ancients much, but these were too nice to pass over.
Ancient Greece - Thessaloniki
Bronze Æ13 (though most are around 18) - minted 187 - 31 BCE
(photos from the NumisCorner page it was from)
First ancient coin, and while not the most impressive piece, I'm still happy with it.
"Be kind, rewind."
Numista referee for banknotes from Greece, Crete & the Ionian Islands.

Very beautiful coin! Thessaloniki is my first issuer of Greece Ancient too. Congrats.
