Hi to all,

I've bought some coins last friday, and these one are yet to be identified:

On #1 the emperor's name is cut by the edge. 20 mm.
The #2 looks like a Licinius follis, "SOLI INVICTO" type. 20 mm. If correct, what city/mint it's from?

On #3's holder it was only written "India princely states, paisa". 20 mm. By the way, I have zero experience of indian kingdoms, it's my first one.

There are others, but they're already identified when I bought or I could figure out on myself (thanks Petrus Ascanus for the post about sasanian coins on this forum yesterday, I got one too and I was about to ask the same thing).

Thanks to all who read this.
The third coin is a very nice example of an "octopus man" copper kahavanu of the Chola dynasty in southern India and Sri Lanka. While these are often attributed (and misattributed) to Rajaraja Chola (985-1014 AD), there are several later rulers with very similar coins. The specific writing on yours identifies it as a coin of Sahasa Malla, 1200-1202 AD. Here are a couple of links:

The Ceylon massa has a lot of replica's, it is difficult to say if it is real or not.

For now I'll assume it's real. If it's fake, then it's a very well done one. All I can say is that's not a chinese copy.
