Sorry if this was brought up before, I don't read this section of the forum much. Yesterday, I was adding some 20 drachmas (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces6010.html) to my swap list, and the melt value at the bottom was $3.11. Yet now it is $3.40 while the price of silver has not changed. If you go on NGC, the melt is $3.13 which is accurate based on manual calculations. It says that Numista is calculating melt at $543/kg yet silver is at $496.01/kg now (https://silverprice.org/silver-price-per-kilo.html).
Cita: "Jarcek"Numista silver value is not updated continually, but I believe only once a day.
Yes, but the silver value is not the one from the previous day, it is higher than the present day silver value. The numista silver value is $16.88 per ounce which last happened on June 16th so over a month ago.
Cita: "Xavier"Hello,
This was a temporary issue, which is fixed (current price is 493 USD/kg). Please let me know if you see a wrong value again.
Yes, it is still incorrect as the value is 538 USD/kg for me (and also for someone else as I wanted to make sure it's not an issue on my end only) . However, at one point the issue was fixed between when I made this post and now as I saw a correct value for some time. So it seems to be off and on as an issue.
