I'm not too familiar with banknotes and I've been given 21 foreign notes from China, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Czech Republic from varying dates between 1980-1999 and values of 1 to 1000.
I was wondering if anyone could give me details on these notes:
I'll do all your notes that I'm sure about, plus those AoSpades54 missed:
All the 20 Yuan (People's Republic of China) banknotes are still in circulation, they're worth about 2,50€ face value.
China 20 cents 1980 (2 Jiao) banknote is no longer in circulation, maybe 1€ on a good day.
China 1 Yuan 1980 is no longer in circulation, maybe 1€ on a good day.
Czech 50 Korun banknotes are no longer in circulation, maybe 1- 2€ on a good day.
Czech 200 Korun banknotes are apparently still in circulation, almost 8€ (7,80€) face value.
Thai 100 Baht is still in circulation; 2,61€ face value.
Malaysian 1 RInggit banknotes are (probably) still in circulation, although those are from the last series before the curent polymer one; 0,20€ face value.
United Arab Emirates 10 Dirhams is still in circulation, 2,22€ face value.
All the 1000 Rupiah (Indonesia) banknotes are no longer in circulation, they're worth maybe 0,50- 1€ each on a good day.
For the no-longer in circulation banknotes, they're ultimately worth what someone else wants to pay for them.
