Hi,
Which country apart from Poland

issued banknote with the Pope John Paul II?
Richard
I assumed that Vatican City would have done so, but it looks like the Vatican has never issued banknotes. (Neither did the Papal States.)
The Vatican certainly issued coins with John Paul II, but no official issues of banknotes, as Cerulean said.

I'm sorry but It has so much to do with a banknote, as a the coins with tokens or the horse with a zebra
They are attractive though...I wish they were official.

Not a banknote either, but I came across this American imitation note featuring JPII

I have this one, but it is not listed here. It has John Paul II's image overprint over Jose Rizal's image, the “Pagdalaw ng Papa Juan Pablo II” overprint (2 Piso Papal Visit) and another John Paul II image overprint on the blank oval space at the back.

Looks like community currency notes from various cities in Lithuania.

The Vatican City used Italian banknotes.

The Papal States did have banknotes prior to 1870.
