Here, the year 1418 is listed as: 1418 (1998) but on the coin the year is 1418-1997.

And that it is.
On many Arabic coins, the Gregorian date is placed next to the Arabic date.

the question is not about the placement of the dates, but about the numista catalog, which is probably wrong, since the COIN states the truth 1418 1997, where as numista says 1418 1998!!!
Now it might be that you'll find a coin 1418 1998, but there is NO proof of that, so SpuDy is right to mention this error... at least a line for 1418 1997 must be added, until it's been proven that the 1418 1998 doesn't exist!
