Lot # 34

By popular demand, here's all the African coins I can gather together from the dark corners of my desk, my swap list, the pile of coins waiting to be catalogued and there's even a duplicate from her "ship coiny" collection contributed by Miss Abby herself.

It's a mixture of high grade modern coins and colonial issues from as early as 1908. It's a modest sized lot of 19 coins but many of these have a substantial individual value. Interesting highlights, a Rwanda 2 Francs, a Liberia 5c from the days when they made real coins (the one with the elephant), a 1908 Nigeria / British West Africa 1/10 Cent and the 1936 South Africa Penny.

$20 to start.

Cita: "jelle"
Cita: "pnightingale"I've got to wrap up a couple of substantial coin sales and get a few remaining lots ready for shipping. Once I've caught up, I'll start listing some increasingly nice coins / lots over the weekend.

Does anyone have any requests?

Rarities / high value key dates?
More bulk lots of vintage coins?
PCGS / NGC Certified coins?
Mint / Proof Sets?
Stamps?
Banknotes?
Certified and USA 3 cents I miss that one in my collection.
I've just swapped my second string Indian Head Cent collection for a bunch of early US coins. I'm not sure exactly what I'm getting but I know there's for sure a three cent in there. Once I receive it I'll let you know the condition and date.

Cita: "pnightingale"The following lots will run until roughly Sunday 11th June at which time the highest offer will be accepted.

*****FREE 17TH CENTURY SILVER / BILLON COIN*****

The person with the highest combination of winning bids will also receive the coin below as a thank you gift. It's in better than average shape but as is common with coins from the period, it's somewhat off centre. I've not had the time to identify it but it's a Solidus from one of the Baltic States dating from about 1650.

Silver coin goes to jelle!

I'll close this thread now. Thank you sincerely to every one of you who has participated.

I still have a few coins left but I'll list those individually as time permits. Thanks for "stickying" the topic mods, you can release it now and let it slide into posterity.

If those who still have lots to pay for could contact me to exchange payment details and mailing address I would be most grateful.
