A good friend of mine got back from Australia recently and posted me out a handful of coins he put to one side for me (about 10AUS$ worth in total), and these included 3 2016 coins:

As i said, all denominations from 10 centavos to 10 pesos are out since January or February
Emiliano... the 1 million pesos question will be if they were all for circulation, and if they are find.. do you have them all?
We had a similar issue with the Qatar ones being reported, then later we noticed that were purchased at a coin shop, and also as I travel often there (I knew the low denomination ones are not in circulation).
This is the only way we can keep collectors aware of what they might be able to find in their change if they travel lets say to Mexico...

Today in work I got another Shakespeare £2 coin, this time the History one:
Justforfun - can we change the previous Shakespeare coin found to read - (Shakespeare, Tragedy) and for this one call it (Shakespeare, History). Got to keep my eyes peeled for the comedies one now.

You are right, but that catalog has something messed up as they divided the coins in (1991 - 2015) and then (2016) all the low denominations are 2016 in the (1991-2015) section...

I think there was no need to create a new section. That was just a name change - not a currency reform.
Is there any notable difference except the minting year?

I agree, it was just a change from nuevo sol to sol. No different from Britain's change from new pence to just pence - it was still the same decimalized pound sterling.

Okay, so apparently this is the second foreign coin of 2016 that I get to enter.
Pretty much literally (okay, it was really a bit longer, but that's basically how it went):
- Hello, I think you lost some coins, here they are!
- Um, I'm pretty sure I've noticed if I lost some 2016 dated eurocents. Can't recall having any.
- So they weren't yours? I found them [in that room over there]. I thought you lost them.
I immediately scramble to said room, and ask everyone there if they lost any eurocents. The assorted people in the room reply...
- Well, not me I certainly would've noticed if I had any.
- Why would there be eurocents in here in the first place? We don't use them in this country.
- I dunno, maybe someone just came in from Europe and emptied their wallet.
- Hey, why not, I think I still have some Ghana coins in my own wallet. (- Wow, can you show me? - No, I haven't brought the wallet, sorry.)
- In any case, it's such a small amount, who cares whoever lost those coins, you could probably consider those things yours, anyway.
And so I did, and brought them home (though haven't entered in my collection yet).
Um, whatever.
There were two coins, both 2016, both French. I see that the 10 eurocents coin had already been listed, and my example is way too shiny anyway; but the 5 eurocents piece doesn't look to be listed yet, and the one I have shows clear signs of circulation (for starters, there's dirt stuck in a few places).
So I suppose I'm claiming it now? France 5 eurocents 2016 - 2/20/2017
Might try to make a photo later.
Forgot to mention it immediately - a few days ago I got a Feodosiya 10 rubles. First commemorative I've seen in circulation in a while.
This is the 25th type (of 45) in my Cities of Military Glory circulation set attempt, and, IIRC, the first new one in several months; finishing this set is looking less and less likely.
Just been given some coins and notes from a colleague in work who's daughter works on the airlines (wish I'd realised a lot sooner lol). Including this Malaysian 2016 20 Sen:

Cuba, 5 centavos and 1 peso 2016 of the national peso (the previous one was of the convertible peso)
I found them also in November, but forgot to write here
My fellow students at university keep giving me cheap foreign coins they don't need (not sure where they're getting them, but probably not at coin shops).
This time (on Tuesday, May 16th) I got a Moldova 25 bani dated 2016. I don't see any Moldova coins listed here, so I suppose it would be a new country.
Could try to post a picture, but I'm not sure I'd be able to - it's very shiny.
Seven months (and a few days) after my first 5 ruble commemorative from 2016, I got the second one today (June 3) - Bucharest.
It being literally given in change at a small market while I was going from one coin shop to another (didn't even get to ask for unusual coins before getting it - and when I did ask, the seller said that she doesn't really look for those anyway) only made it even more sweeter (and I was able to show it to several people at the second place).
As mentioned before, the mintage is 2 million, which is low enough that they logically shouldn't show up in change (though this is somewhat softened by the fact that the series it's from contains 14 different types, so the total mintage across the entire series is 28 million).
Not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but the currency of Hungary is spelled as Forint, not Florint. So many Dutch people misspell it, it really bothers me!

the reason many dutch people misspell "forint" "florint" might be because the confuse it with the "florin".

Yes, I was thinking of that too.

I was passed some coins today from a colleague who's daughter works for an airline so travels a lot. They included a couple of nice Zimbabwe Bond Coins, some Thai satangs and some Singapore Dollars and cents, and included these 3 from 2016, which I noticed hadn't already been "found":
Two new ones from a friendly cashier today: Rzhev bimetallic and Petrozavodsk monometallic. Haven't found any bimetallics in a while - then suddenly two (but the other one was dated 2001).
[EDIT: this gets me up to 31/45 on my Cities of Military Glory circulation set, and completes its 2016 section. And actually I did find many of the earlier coins I'm "missing" in circulation - I just didn't start the set until later.]
I also got yet another 5 ruble commemorative from the "liberated capitals" series in change a few weeks ago, but I forgot to post it immediately, and by now I don't recall which particular capital it was for. I'll post it properly when I find it again
BTW, if I somehow manage to find an example of this type in circulation, can I start the 2018 thread?

how can a curculating coin been struck in 2018 when it's 2017? someone's confused...
it's even weirder, in the comment section it's stated that is actually struck in december 2016!
I wanted to get one in 2016 for the How Far Back Can We Go 4th edition on CCF, but it turned out that the coins were a few days late, and the banks insisted on holding them for a week, and then the big winter holidays came up... a few examples that accidentally got out in the early stages occasionally showed up for $10-ish each, but I wasn't that interested.
I ended up getting one for under a dollar in February 2017 (and had been carrying it as a pocket piece since), and about a dozen more even cheaper later. I hadn't seen one in actual circulation yet, however.

well, shouldn't it say 2016 in the date list then? it's obviously not 2018..
Look at the very bottom of the obverse. See the digits 2018? That's the date. Note that 2017 or 2016 does not appear anywhere on the coin.
IIRC it's not the first known example of a coin coming out well before its official date either. (In particular, the first euro coins of a country freshly adopting the euro almost always come out early.)
More on-topic - I found the 5 ruble commemorative that I got a few weeks ago, and it was Riga, just as I thought (my memory was playing weird tricks on me, and I didn't initially recognize the picture).
My son is a bus driver, when his shift was finished he would go through his float and find any coins that I might not have, which I would swop like for like. I got most of my British 2 pound coins like that.

Hi Croffer, did you got any that has not yet listed for 2016 here, there is also a 2017 thread available... Please feel free to report your findings..
Just wanted to remind you (again, after the July 24 post) that I identified the 5 ruble coin I got a few weeks ago (as first posted about on July 18), and it was Riga
Also I got another Feodosiya 10 rubles yesterday, but we had that one listed already.

Photos or links will really help specially for me that has no Idea of all versions russia is issuing, also people who read this post likes to see the pics ;)
Thanks. It was off a colleague in work who's daughter works as an air stewardess so travels all over the world. She has started collecting a few coins from each country for me on most trips :)

2 Zlote -> Lotus07 (8/14/2017)
I listed this as there are hundreds of coins after 2 zlote I won't spend much time browsing there... let me know which other values you have.
Lol, that escalated quickly! At one moment, you just want to comtribute to the topic. At the other, you're doomed by the topic administrator! By the way, I did mean all the circulation coins, excluding the commemoratives, including the regular 5 Zlotych :)

Well my odd little city hit again. Last Monday at work got a mont dew . In the change got two 2016 P Code talkers US dollars. Put another 5 in got a water and two more came out. Put another 5 in and nothing. But told the guys and two of them came with one each. That made 6 of them
Earlier this week (don't recall when exactly), I got yet another 5 ruble commemorative - this time the one for Vilnius.
Weirdly, the 5 ruble commems seem to be easier to find than the 10 ruble commems lately, despite their significantly smaller mintages. Maybe the people know to look for the 10 rubles (it doesn't help that they are obviously different on both sides), which means that almost all examples end up in collections, but almost nobody knows to look for the 5 rubles (which are barely noticeable from the obverse), so they kind of slip by.
Just wanted to mention: my aunt got in change today (and gave to me) a 20 euro cent 2016 from the Netherlands.
Already listed, unfortunately, but it's still a weird foreign find, and I'm not sure where else I'm supposed to mention it (the only other relevant thread I found was well out of date).
(I also got two commemoratives from 2014 and one from 2015.)
Now, if I didn't miscount, the only "circulating" 2016 types we're still missing for Russia are the Amur Region 10 rubles bimetallic... and 10 of the 14 coins in the 5 ruble "Liberated Capitals" series.
Those last ones would be tricky - 2 million mintage! OTOH, they do show up in actual circulation every once in a while (in fact, I got more of those in normal change than from asking cashiers).
Feel kind of blessed that just a day over a year that my son took ill i got a Vatican 50c in my change. Not normally a religious person but I take it it be a good omen.
