The design looks like some of the catalog coins for France [Kingdom], but it doesn't match the weight. Is there something between a Sol and a Half Sol, or can this much wear result in a loss of almost 3 grams?

looks like copper / date appears to be 1786 / may say "VI" (Louis XVI?) next to the profile

On your coin the mint is unreadable, but on the link I attached, there are several mints with or without dot.
The character after the date might change too ?
