Is one wrong or is there something strange about this coin?

This could be a mistake.
Schön says 1377/1958 too.

The year is wrong and the text in comments field is wrong (1958 - 1378 instead of 1958 - 1377)

You should make a change request. And if you do so, please add the weight and the Schön#.

I don't have this coin, but in my list is written a diameter of 23.0 mm. I don't know where i know this from.

The funny thing is, Schön only counts the 1958/1377 coin of this type as Schön#B94 and the 1960/1380 and 1966/1386 as Schön#102. (KM# for both is 395)

Both coins are listed with 4.9 grams.
My wife has a 1960/1380 coin (KM# 395, Schön# 102) and i measured a weight of 4.9 grams, a diameter of 23.0 mm and a thickness of 1.7 mm.


What exactly is the difference between Schön# B94 and Schön# 102 i can not see.

The parameters might be the same for the KM#386, because the KM#381 (Schön# 83.2) my wife has, has the same parameters and the KM# 380 (Schön# 83.1) has the same weight and diameter (thickness unknown, because my wife does't have this coin).


If anybody has a KM# 396 and/or a KM#395 1958/1377 and/or a KM# 395 1960/1380 or 1966/1386, please tell us all you can tell about these coins.

What does our Africa Expert Dito know about this?

I have two different dates of the KM#395. The only difference between the 395 and 396 seems to be the absence of the arabic word for Egypt above the arabic 10. I think the dates in the discription need adjusted.

Can you show us pictures of both coins?
I do not unerstand why the Schön catalogue count the KM#395 1958/1377 coin as an extra type and the 1960/1380 and the 1966/1386 as the other type.
Showing both could enlighten us if you have 1958/1377 and 1960/1380 (1966/1386 does only exist as proof as far as i know).

The difference of KM#396 and 395 is clear. It is the word "Misr" above the face value. But the Schön devides the KM#395 in two different types.

I think i found the difference between KM#395 1958 and 1960:

Is is (in German) "Landesname "Misr" mit Vokalzeichen" and "Landesname "Misr ohne Vokalzeichen".

It is a tiny difference in the word "Misr".

So we have
type KM#396 without "Misr" 1958/1377
type KM#395 with "Misr" and with "Vokalzeichen" (I can't translate this in English) 1958/1377
type KM#395 with "Misr" and without "Vokalzeichen" 1960/1380, 1966/1386

If anybody has a 10 Milliemes 1958/1377 with Misr (KM# 395) please show a picture.
The picture in the Schön Catalogue is not good enough.

Vokalzeichen is a vowel mark or diacritical mark of sorts...maybe they left a dot or dash out of misr.
