I have a 1956 H as well, where the H is clearly visible where it should be.
(You'll have to excuse the picture quality, they're taken on my mobile phone through an overlaying LED magnifier - the only way I have to take close up shots).

CitaOur ten-cent coin has no mintmark. This means it might have been minted either in the Royal Mint in London, in the Hong Kong branch mint or at James Watt & Co. Soho, Birmingham.just found, maybe helps.
Cita: "ngdawa"I have one 1959 without mintmark as well.Cheers - apparently there should be another line on the catalog page. The NGC price guide only lists a 1959H though.

Cita: "g00n"You are correct (sorry but no prize).
After closer inspection, I think I see an H mintmark on the above coin at the second possible location for it - below the N in CENTS. I did look for that on my coin without any luck, is it possible that it has just faded away? Perhaps this is also the case with yours, ngdawa?

I'll check mine then!

Cita: "g00n"For the 1956 the H is after CENTS, but for the 1959 it is below the N in CENTS. I still can't see the H anywhere on my 1959 coin, but I guess is has just faded away through the years.I guess the same has happened to mine. When I know it is there I believe I can see it, but I am far from sure.
