Small coin appears to be brass. Circular hole in square design seems unusual. I could not find in China or Vietnam. Any comments on origin of coin or token welcome.

The rebels overthrew the Qing Dynasty government, they manufactured these from the facilities of Qing Kwangtung Mint around 1910.

There are 3 different types: co-back, back Manchu and back nine stars.....

Interesting history! So these were mafe for what purpose?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Anyway, they don't cost anything, using existing equipment and material to strike tokens for celebrating the victory and keeping for souvenirs. :`
