Being, additionally of being numismatist, an addict banknote collector, I couldn't forget the news that I was waiting for: the design of our new canadian banknotes... in polymer !!
But like it was suppose to, it's only the designs of $100 note and of $50 one that were unveiled because these are the to first denominations to be issued (in November 2011 for the $100 banknote and in May 2012 for the $50 one ):
To see the complete design of the 2 banknotes, you just have to click on the tab "Design" in the center of the screen that appears when clicking on link...
Finally, a commercial (that, I suppose, is going to start passing on TV in no longer time) is available to know the security features of the new $100 note (at less for the moment )
On that, good "visit" to the interested people
Regards, euro3000, who's very happy !

Many banknotes for swap, including the NEW CANADIAN POLYMER $5 AND $10 BANKNOTES!!!
That is kinda, cool, I know Australia had notes like that once, but the technology is now better.
I have a bunch of notes, I don't know anything about their value, and I would like to swap most of them, can you help me if I get some pictures of them?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

These are way better than our notes (Australian), coming to think of it, all other polymer note series are. Australia should be ashamed. We are getting the jolly kicked by Canada, we need to get our act together.

Hi!
What you said is not false! I think that what is really innovative with the canadian ones is that they are the first to have a metallic strip, what is very particular...
But over all, I consider that australian banknotes are beautiful (particularly if we remember that they were designed at the begining of the '90) !
On all that, regards, euro3000

Yer well I use the crap every day and face it they are as disgusting as the US design. Even third world countries like Guinea and PNG have better designs.
Hum, I wouldn't say so. I Have a polymer 10 dollar note from Aussie and I really like it, with its windmill in the see-through window. I also have 2 paper notes, and I really like 'em. But maybe that's because I don't live in Australia, even though ours are nice, I think I'm getting bored with them just because I see them everyday, but I don't come by lots of Australian notes. I'm eager to see the polymer ones, can hardly wait. I do agree that US notes are horrible, all too much alike. In the 1700's and the 1800's, they used to make wonderful notes, but it seems they lost their creative ideas...
Si tu cognes ta tête contre une cruche et que ça sonne creux, ce n'est pas forcément la cruche... lollll mon proverbe préféré !
I have never like Australian notes, I visit HK a lot and always like their banknotes. The canadian issue before the current was horrible as well, this issue is an improvement. Denmarks latest issue was a dissapointment and the US banknotes from before the 20's were creative and colourful. I hope to see a total currency change here as we need it, especially with the coinage.

Hi redsmithstudios!
I can help you, but I'll need the scan of each note (because of types of signatures, serial number, etc. ) Also, we need to do it rapidliy because I'll not be able to help between the June 28 and the July 28...
Best regards, euro3000...
