Perhaps WC is wrong (it would not be the first time, from what I read sometimes in Topics on here). I too think that 1980 just had the first type, and 1986 was the other - so not both. Reasoning being if they changed to aluminium (as a cheaper coin metal) then in 1986 they would not use the other metal as well, in the same year.
Also here is a composite photo I made of a page from Mozambique that shows all coins made in that year, and it also says 1986 was only the second type. I'll let you all decide !
I guess you're right. KM contains lots of errors, even after decades of history. The pic you used is from my website :-) so that is no addtional proof in this discussion. However I got my coins from a guy who has been hunting coins in Mocambique himself, he even speaks Portugueze. He assured me I have all existing coins.
So 10 Meticais 1981 does not exist either as far as I know, so if anyone own this coin, please let me know.
Best regards Gijs

Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
well no one owned that 10 meticais 1981. I deleted it for now.
what about the 20 meticais now?
Gijs entered a coin under both issues with year 1986. so you own a coppernickel and an aluminium 1986
issue?
