I came up with the Indian (Republic) 1-rupee coin. Why?
- 1 rupee isn't worth very much (less than 2 cents CAD), so it shouldn't be too expensive to complete the more recent issues
- Lots of variety and commemoratives in the series, and lots of different mint-marks to find
- No expensive silver in the series
However, I am going to ignore proofs and varieties for now, and only focus on date/mint-mark collecting.
So... I probably cannot offer to trade every Rupee from everyone, because my coin budget is fairly tight, but I would be happy to exchange Canadian currency for these rupees, assuming coins that are at least VF+ with no problems (I know many are weakly struck). For recent issues, I would pay 5 cents for each one (double for commemoratives), from before 2000 I would pay 20 cents for 3 (double for commemoratives), from before 1991 I would pay 10 cents for one (double for commemoratives), from before 1983 I would pay 20 cents for each one, and from before 1975 I would pay 25 cents for each one (50 cents for the 1969 Gandhi commemorative). The two pre-decimal rupees (1950B, 1954B) I would pay $1 for.
I hope there is not a problem with these prices... I am assuming that, as Canadian coins can be bought for far below Krause in Canada, these coins can be found for below catalog in India and elsewhere. I cannot afford much more, if I want to complete the whole set. I can offer UNC coins and commemoratives (recent dates... 1992 and forwards) from 1 cent to 2 dollars, and new polymer bills of $5 and $10.
The list of rupees I have right now is very small...

Thank you for your time. I can probably do 1 swap a week
