Bad deal on a swap

I just completed a swap, and the coins I got were very disappointing. See the coins below that were claimed to be in VF condition and are clearly not even close.

For these I traded an uncirculated Morgan and some very nice Mercury dimes.

I emailed the other member to see if we could just trade back, and he responded, "if you would like to exchange the coins I sent you for different ones I can do that but I'm keeping what you sent me".

Naturally, there's nothing in his trade list worth even close to the value of the coins I sent.

Any suggestions? If I post bad feedback, he'll just do the same to me. I offered to get a site moderator to help us find a fair arrangement but he hasn't responded.

Any help would be appreciated!

I think people should return the coins back, if the other isn't satisfied, but who am I.

This is why I always request a high-resolution scan or photo and do the same on my end.

smoked_caramel: I guess my honeymoon is over, I've done 20-odd trades without scans, but after this one, I'm going to have to insist. <sigh>

To add insult to injury, he shipped his coins late (i.e. after waiting for mine to arrive), and added a bonus to make up for it. In his words,

"im sending yours (Monday) late because ive been very busy with work because of my lateness im going to send you the 1970 S proof nickel along with the other coins you selected."

Ok, I'm dealing with this situation at the moment and I can understand that you are disappointed. However, I am sure this situation can be resolved.
