Italian Post Service

I have had a few issues with this one.  I may have to pay out two swaps due to posting pilfering.  I do hope this is not the case.  Has anyone else had an issue with Italy Post or am I a bit of a loner on this one?

Here is an article I found on the topic that I think some people should read and also shows I'm not just blowing smoke  ;)

Well that about sums it up.  Looks like I'll likely loose three to the skimmers... Man, That really sucks!
I live in Italy and I have an ongoing swap with Dixxy. I never had lost any packages since I started swapping, be it normal or registered. But I never had any swap outside europe before and this with Dixxy is the first. Since it's normal package, we don't know actually where it was lost. The last swap however, as I already explained to him, might be late but not lost. You see, August here in Italy is a long holiday or vacation. People go on vacation for the whole month and some offices (including post offices) and shops are open but low manpower. So if you have a swap sent this month, expect it to arrive on September. Right now, I am not worried for the last swap. It might arrive sooner but I expect it to be late.

Now, for the quality of post office here. I can't really tell it was that bad for I have no idea where it was lost. And I repeat, I never had lost any packages yet.
