Dear Collectors!
I propose to merge the general and BU yearlines in the catalog, for the following reasons:
-in most cases BU and good quality general strikes are indistinguishable. The only way to distinguish them is by packaging. And according to current guidelines, yearlines should not be split for different packaging
-BU coins do not have a consistent technique across different countries
-Major catalogs (SCWC, Schoen) do not separate them
-Grading companies do not separate them
-For many countries Numista does not separate them
-Now we can add sets, which feature mintages and other important information
You can find more details in this discussion: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic176510.html#p1340683
Of course exceptions to this exist, such as Canada and Switzerland, which have been issuing their BU coins in proof-like finish. But for majority of other countries I think merging them would be a better decision.
