Port Elizabeth merchant coin 19th century

Can someone please tell me something about this coin?

 The lettering is Phonographic Equipment not Port Elizabeth - 

it was used in music machines (juke boxes) as that 

is what a phonograph is.

 Not sure - I used to have a token of theirs, which is how I recognised it. 

There are a few on here. Maybe other members know …

 

 So their tokens were used in the mid-20th century - 

not the 19th century. They are an English company started in 1958

 I notice that at the end of that first page, of 9 in that PDF document, 

is mentioned Sega fruit machines - who later did gaming consoles.
