Have 2x  2018 One Crowns both different but both have a thicker than usual edge weighing 32.95grams are these Piedfort or sterling silver ?

Many thanks in advance for responding

Piedfort means double the standard thickness. These coins were produced only like this, so it's not Piedfort. Just higher thickness. And these are both made from tombac (copper & zink) and silver plated.

Page for these coin are: N#264534

N#356062

Thanks for your weight measurment. That's strange. I measured my piece and it's strange too: 32.77 gram, much more than on attached certificate. It seems that they prepared the coa as for standard coins not the actual ones.

Normal crowns from copper-nickel are 38.6mm and weight 28.28 gram.

Here is the specification that is also allowed for 1 crown coins as per Gibraltar law and it looks this is the case:

One Crown 38.61mm diameter

Tombac Cu85Zn15

Std weight 32.600g with tolerance +/- 0.652g

In coming days, I will update the Numista coin pages for this series to have the correct weight, not the one from certificate.

Edit: Numista pages updated.
