Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me improve my understanding of this silver-colored coin measuring 17mm and weighing 0.9g.
At first, I thought it was a nicely struck barbaric imitation of a late Roman coin, but the reverse looks later (Vandals? Anglo-Saxons? Celt? English?) and the legend looks more purposeful than the usual series of I’s and O’s.
I’d be very grateful for any thoughts on what issue it’s intended to be and the likelihood that its contemporary vs, modern (my current suspicion). Thanks!
