Hi all, going through the engraver and designer list I see that all of names in the engraver and designer fields were added automatically (very likely by the robot), regardless of the many spelling errors and language differences and some oddballs like this or “Tiger standing on a rock”. I have made the effort of going through some of the engravers and fixing the duplicates, especially those that had dedicated engraver pages before the robot additions. I would like to know if those duplicate engraver pages that no longer have any engraver added to them will be automatically deleted, so that no more pages will be incorrectly added to them. Thank you

Agreed. Maybe the Robot can at least make a list of those empty

pages, so a human can go through them. If then a correct page is found

that does have coins already on it, then they can tick a box

somewhere to then delete the empty page.

These were added by actual humans over the years. It is only now when we made it into the list that these come to the light.

And yes, we are actively removing them.

Yes, members added them over time, and they were

just black and white on the pages. So, as they are

nowadays blue colour links, then they can be

corrected and collated over time. Thanks

Thank you, though I meant the robot was adding the engraver pages, not the engravers to the pages. I modified hundreds of pages fixing errors to hopefully lower the number of duplicates

Surely then if many errors are being created, which then need amending,

should it be made that they be checked before publishing - or even stop that

task from going through the robot? If it is making more trouble than it is worth -

or educate it look through existing lists to see if something similar is in there -

from which a request could be created, and checked, before publication?

 Someting like that.

Yes it is why I made this topic, but I am sure there is a logical explanation

Maybe this https://en.numista.com/forum/topic176519.html was created by the Robot.

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.

No, not even that was created by a robot. :)

I personally deleted artists that were inputted as “Reeded” or “None”, so anything is possible.

There are multiple cases, where the engraver is the same, but their surname and name are swapped creating two pages. Should they be merged?
