Locker token - Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek [resuelto]

I have a locker token from the Glyptotek in Copenhagen similar to these ones:

N#460361

But mine is a different material (or that's what I guess for the color). What composition might have? Should I ignore that section?

If you don't know the material it makes little sense to add it wouldn't it?

Yes → probably Steel or less likely Nickel

No → probably Copper-Nickel, Aluminium if very light

It's magnetic so I guess it might be Steel or Nickel then, but I will ignore that section as you suggest. Thanks.

P.S. I'm new on this site, so I'm still learning. Why is less likely to be Nickel? Too expensive?

Yes, why use something that is multiple times the price for some cheap object.

You could do a density test, either roughly with geometry (weight/volume of the cylindric shape) or more precise with specific gravity.

Pure nickel being significantly denser then most steels 8.9 g/cm³ vs ~7.8-8.0 g/cm³.

P.S. if you leave the material empty you should at least add that it is magnetic in the comment section.

Pure nickel being significantly denser then most steels 8.9 g/cm³ vs ~7.8-8.0 g/cm³.

Those densities are too close to assume a cylindrical shape to calculate density because the thickness is for the high points so will give a density lower than actual. For instance for the token above N#460361 known to be copper the calculated density is 7.9 g/cc which would indicate iron (steel) not copper (8.9 g/cc).
