Series dedicated to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Portugal, and to Portuguese personalities. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites are places of importance to cultural or natural heritage. Cultural heritage consists of monuments, groups of buildings, and sites, while natural heritage consists of natural features, geological and physiographical formations, and natural sites which are important from the point of view of science, conservation or natural beauty. The first sites in Portugal were inscribed in 1983.
The series consists of euro coins of different denominations and composition (silver and gold), minted by the Monnaie de Paris in 2019, 2021 and 2023. Some sides depict the World Heritage Site, and the others depict the personality.
