Hi all, currently the Royal Mint is split into three separate sites, two in London and one in Llantrisant (current). Since the first two were both located in the same city just a block away from each other, I think they should be merged.

 

Personally I do not think separate cities of mints should constitute separate listings (ex. Monnaie de Paris Pessac and Paris plants currently listed together), but there should at least be a record of all of the locations

The Tower of London Mint is where the coins of England were struck during the English Civil War.

 

Tower Hill Mint was opened in 1810 & closed in around 1975.

  • If the name of the mint changed throughout its history, or if several minting facilities operated in a city without overlap, then only the hosting city appears in the title. The name changes are recorded in the description of the mint:
