Can you help me identify this metro token

I'm wondering if someone could help me to identify the difference between the versions mentioned in Numista. There are clearly 2 groups. But for example is the key difference between version 1 and 2 just the colour or is there something else too?

The style of the engraving of the bottom text would be my guess.

That was my other guess but I have a bunch of these and it seemed like it was more of a continuum than distinct ones.
