I’m working on a film project about Alves dos Reis and the 1925 Portuguese banknote scandal, specifically the forged 500‑escudo notes. As part of our research and prop design, I’m trying to track down a high-resolution image or scan of the note.
If anyone knows of an institution that holds an example of this banknote, or a source for a high-quality scan that can be used for research or licensed production purposes, I would be very grateful for any guidance.
All reproductions would be created fully in line with legal requirements for currency reproduction.
