mechanics bank of Memphis $10 banknote paper.

I recently acquired a $10 Banknote from the Mechanics Bank of Memphis all seems right about the bill except it is printed on a very fragile paper similar to rice paper. Is this the correct paper or a fake? Print quility is excellent and date and signatures are handwritten and match other examples ive seen pictures of but paper is questionable as it wouldn't last in circulation.

If the sample pictures are from an original it could be real, it seems to be printed on extremely flimsy substrate too.
