Hello everyone,

I recently purchased an ancient coin, a bronze As of Emperor Antoninus Pius, through an online auction. As I always do, I went to Numista to identify the exact type and add it to my collection, but I found three different varieties listed and I’m not sure how they differ. The varieties are:

I tried researching on my own, but I couldn’t find any relevant or helpful information. I would like to understand what distinguishes these three varieties and I’ve attached some photos of my coin so you can tell me which type it belongs to. I would be very grateful for any help or guidance.

Thanks in advance!

I believe yours is 853A. which is described simply as “Laureate bust,”  whereas 853B is described as “Laureate and draped," and 853 is described as “Laureate, draped and cuirassed.”

These terms are in the current descriptions (not sure photos of all types are available).
