Who else agrees with me that Notgeld needs to be under ‘Community Currencies’?

Aidan.

What is your definition of community currencies and where would they belong on Numista?

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

“Community Currencies” = “Local Banknotes”  ?

Yes - so are the tokens associated with them as well.

@BCNumismatics please try to explain what the situation is, why it is wrong and what you want to change …

I have no clue what you mean with your one sentence posts, as most German Notgeld is already in “local banknotes”

Items from Germany (notgeld) – Numista

There is indeed some inconsistency in other sections, but that can be easily solved …

Items from Belgium (notgeld) – Numista

Definitely needs to be under ‘Community Currencies’ as well.

All? Which ones? Miniassegni are fine as emergency banknotes. If on ly a few notes are labeled wrong then just submit a change request. If there is a more fundamental error in the catalogue please try to explain it using more than one sentence posts.

Hi @BramVB , it's true that in Belgium there's a lot of inconsistency, with banknotes being classified in both local and emergency currency, but in Germany there's also an inconsistency, in my opinion, since banknotes are classified in local currency and coins in emergency currency.

I think they should all be in the same type of currency, either emergency or local, and in my opinion (hence the name Notgeld), they should all be emergency currency.

I agree there is a bit of confusion between local and emergency issues. Tohugh, technically, this is not a request to change series, so I will reject it procedurally.
