Anybody else been on Ucoin lately and have this appear?  You have to sit through a 25 second long video ad before getting back to what you were doing.  It happened three times in the 10 minutes I was on the site.

I dont have an account with UCoin but I do use it from time to time to double verify information on foreign coins I am unfamiliar with. especially when coins just say large or small type Ill verify by weight and diameter on both ucoin and numista. I've never seen these advertisements. I am using a browser called Vivaldi which natively blocks ads and trackers so that might be the reason.

I use Ucoin a lot too. I was on yesterday for a good while. Only this morning did I get these ads.

Weird, Ill check in tonight and see if I get any advertisements. In the mean time, you could always try addblock plus extension depending on what browser you are looking at. Additionally you could try browsers that block advertisements on a browser level instead of a plugin level such as brave or vivaldi. or even hardened firefox.

Yes, my setup is Firefox + Ublock Origin. I have not seen a single ad the past few years, except those on Numista ;)

This only started a couple hours ago.

Visited UCoin on a stock install of Google chrome and literally the first thing I clicked on threw an advertisement at me.

Please consider Installing Firefox + Ublock, Vivaldi, or Brave Browser and set to block advertisements and trackers. This should handle your issue perfectly. My personal recommendation is Vivaldi based solely on my own preference and performance on my machine. It is also privacy focused, fast, and dramatically more lightweight than google chrome or brave.

Blocking advertisements isnt just to not see advertisements, its to block data collection, miss-clicks to sketchy websites, and reduce your overall bandwidth usage.

I will when I get on my home computer.

Those ads like you got are fine. One click and they're gone. This type where I have to wait 25 seconds before I can do anything is too much, especially for a member.

I do not see these ads as I have blockers switched on in Firefox.

Nice to see that it works!

Well, Give it a shot and see if that works for you. You shouldn't have to click anything to access a service like that, other than an initial tracker notice. Ive dropped entire services for less. Unfortunately advertisements are a fundamental way the internet works these days. Short of installing a custom router, the only thing you can do is using AdBlock

I see this a lot on my Android phone.
