Has anyone had any luck trying to find someone near you,  that you can swap coins with. I look at the map of members in my area and find almost all are not currently active. I know I should list my coins but that is not going to happen due to time it would take. Please when possible reach out to me or others that you can enjoy a few hours exchanging coins.
peace out Randy in San Francisco

I am sorry but why would anyone even consider engaging with you for a swap in person or otherwise without any knowledge at all of the coins you have in your possession or what you are looking for to expand your collection?  Your entire swap list is 1 coin.  You have to give people a clue as to what you have to offer and what you want if you expect anyone to to swap with you.  If you're too lazy to help yourself why would you expect others to help you?

With numista, you are indeed to expected tI list your swap list, else it appears you dont Use Numista for swapping.
You could also join a numismatic club in San Francisco or the surrounding area. You‘d have a good chance to find fellow collectors to swap with in person. I’ve done that several times here in Toronto

Sorry again but if you are a serious collector and seriously want to swap with other collectors I would think 8 years is plenty enough time to input your coins.  https://en.numista.com/forum/topic79235.html#p677173

lm Only asking a simple question about trading in person with fellow local Numista people. I belonging to coin clubs, attend shows and also run ads in FB, CL and Instagram. This site is nice and with a wealth of information, I appreciate everyone’s Input. Entering coins in my swap list is not going to happen.  The late Mimael asked about US Pennies, his posts resonated with me and then I sent him a package full of coins with no list of coins I expected in exchange. I’m all about helping fellow collectors but just prefer transactions in person.

Don't listen too these guys, they have no respect towards new members. You do what you do in what you think is correct.

please don’t take my responses seriously

Besides @fjjohnson doesn't even have a swap list so I think he has no say in this discussion.

Maybe because he does not want to swap here? Please stop having that hostile tone to others.

Amd calling Pennyholic a new member is also questionable. Did you read the thread?

Yes, I did. Positive experience.

I also sometimes contact some collectors when preparing a travel, even abroad.

It depends also what do you mean “near”? For me it is anything I can reach in an our of car travel.
