Most likely a Conder token from UK …

Will have a look

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

thanks that was quick , just posted other pics , regards dave

The first picture of the three looks sharper,

so can the other two be re-taken like that?

Any lettering visible, like on top of the obverse?

Reverse looks to be a man leaning, one leg bent against a tree,

with greenery on left and a dog reaching up >

though with all the wear may be nothing like that.

I searched last night >

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?e=royaume-uni&r=&st=147-150-149&cat=y&im1=&im2=&ru=&ie=&ca=3&no=&v=&a=1796&dg=&i=&b=&m=np&f=&t=&t2=&w=&mt=&u=&g=&c=&wi=&sw=

and it is none of those - not even the portrait. Could also be from Wales, Scotland or Ireland -

assuming it is even British. Though 1796 is withing the Conder dates 1787-1797.

thanks for your in put zakuk , i will take a clearer picture , i think i over magnified , seems to be numerals/ value on reverse at bottom of coin / i was thinking french/ territories  regards dave

I wondered what was on the reverse below the line -

is it SOL lettering or more numbers - could not tell.

Again just going by 1796 made me think of a UK token.

Then yes the Sol could be French - but I still searched 1796 and

non-precious but still nothing similar.

I think it looks more like this one:

Seeing that page then finding out why the search yesterday

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?r=&st=147-150-149&cat=y&im1=&im2=&ru=&ie=&ca=3&no=&v=&a=1796&dg=&i=&b=&m=np&f=&t=&t2=&w=&mt=&u=&g=&c=&wi=&sw=

did not find it. Both coins look more like copper, so billon was not considered.

I also wondered what was after the dot in the exergue, and see it is a 5 number.

I now made these

 Thanks :)
