I incorrectly listed the date “of minting” as 1936. This is the fantasy date of the medal, and in fact these medals (a series of 8 compositions with 2 edge types) were produced in 2017 as per the comments on the Coincraft website, here.
“Last year (2016) was the 80th anniversary of The Year of Three Kings, so we are proud to offer this 1936 Patina with a much lower mintage of just 100 pieces in each metal.”
This change is requested to avoid any confusion with the other Patina series (with 1937 dates) & indeed any of the other “Retro” etc. series of 1999-2001.
