Can you iron a polymer not without damaging it?

My boss recently came back from a vacation to Costa Rica with a 2019 1000 Colones polymer note that has been folded over several times, resulting in heavy creases.

I am trying to find the best way to remove the creases and let the note lie flat, but since the US still uses cloth notes, I have no clue the best way to do this with a polymer note. Any suggestions/solutions would be appreciated.

Try iron a plastic sheet or something plastic and see what happened?

The correct answer is no. If you do, your note will shrink and it won't go flat either🤣.

Try this instead

Use a hair drying and blow it for say about 5-10 seconds with a high setting. Then place it under a heavy/hard flat object. This may improve the condition but will not remove the creases.
