1924 Lithuania 500 litu

Hi everyone! 😊
my mom recently found this old 500 Litu banknote from 1924 hidden in an old book. It looks quite interesting and I wanted to ask if anyone here knows more about it.

I checked that it’s from Kaunas, series B065, and it seems real. But I have no idea if it’s something rare or just a common collectible. Could it be worth more than usual?

I’m new to banknotes, so I’d really appreciate any info or advice! 💛

@Shend be careful with that note as it is quite scarce (& as you can see from the Spink auction result/Numist entry). It is quite valuable but difficult to say exactly how much. Only collector demand will tell. I would get it in a good PVC-free sleeves & store in a dry place. It looks like a note which should be put in an auction (for best results), though you might wish to investigate all your options if you are wishing to sell.

You have person hiding three-six months of period salary in a single note in a book.

Maybe consider authenticating that note.
