Worth it?

Looking to buy Morgan dollar. Is it worth it for 50 bucks?

Yes, it's not over priced.

 Assuming that it is genuine of course. 

Looks like it was made yesterday though, not 139 years ago. 

 Hopefully other members might add opinions also. 

Is it just me or are there is slight tonning around the edges of the coins? I suspect that would make it genuine. I'm asking since I'm looking to buy, despite the seller stating it is genuine.

That coin has frosted central designs, unlike the background, 

whereas yours looks like a continuous silvery-colour metal, 

not really resembling a silver coin of that age. 

 Still though waiting to see what other members think … 

Might be part of the GSA hoard found in the 1970's. Million of coins that never circulated.

Toning is very easy to achieve, but the fraudulent ones are often over the top. Yours is subtle, and I would trust it as genuine. 

Thirty years ago, I bought a half roll of MS 63 at $40. each. So yes, I would advise going for it. 

I'm tempted. Not to mention seller has over 8000 positive reviews and not one single negative. That's a plus.

ZacUK brings up an excellent point. As an older gentleman, I never much considered the topic of fakes, which were usually easy to identify. I've just spent a couple of hours going through the Forum posts, and found that technology has advanced to the point that this is no longer true. 

Not to dissuade you, but be aware that there an increasing number out there, and learn how to tell the difference. Specific gravity is fairly reliable; knowing exact weight and dimensions. 

Finally got it. It seems to be alright to me. Dimensions and weight are correct. I also did a ping test and used "pingcoin" app for that. It's fine, it passed that as well. I'm surprised since it's in almos excellen condition. I put it in cardboard flip for now since the flip it was in is damaged from the tape seller used to keep it in place. I'll make sure to buy it a capsule later.
