Hello Everyone, I am very new to the world of currency collections and allied fields and i have zero clue what makes currency notes valuable or not. I have some notes with me that i found randomly emptying a drawer at home. I would like to know if there is any value to these notes and sell them subsequently. Going through a financial spiral, please let me know if i can extract absolutely anything out of these, it would be a great help. All inputs are welcome and thanks in advance.

1000 rupees from India - demonetized in 2016. Three variants exist. You can find them in catalogue yourself.

5 dirhams from UAE, year 1438. - probably still in circulation. UAE dirham is pegged to USD since 1998. N#206030

2 rupees from India. - N#202699

If you cut images just to note and search for image in catalogue, search should find them.

Just can't believe that the OP does not recognise notes from his own country?

OP didn't say that he couldn't recognize the notes but he wants to know their resell value.

You can check their pages on this site to know about their rarity among the collectors.

I'm sharing just a brief idea about how much you can expect from them. The price mainly depends on the quality and rarity of the notes. In your case, both the criteria are quite weak to fetch good values.

For Indian collectors both the Rs. 2 & Rs. 1000 are quite common. Maybe some new collectors might not have the Rs. 2 note but Rs. 1000 note has just been banned.

The 5 Dirhams might be rare for collectors but its quality might reduce its value to collectors. Just check if it's still in circulation then try to sell it in some private foreign currency exchanges. They pay a higher value than the real face value. Don't go for govt ones.

You can list the Rs. 2 & 1000 notes on ebay or amazon for a higher value. If some noob collectors buy that you will hit the jackpot.

According to numista page those UAE dirhams are still in circulation. They are worth 1.36 in colonial currency. Enough to cover costs of scamming on ebay.
