Question about value [resuelto]

When putting how much you bought a note for, should you include tax + shipping or leave it out?

Like say I got 20 Baht for 2 dollars but 30 cents for tax, would I say $2.30?

I always include all because that was the price I was willing to pay for that object. For a hyperbole; when I buy something for 1 dollar but the shipping is 99 dollars, I don't think the object is worth 1 dollar but at least 100 to me to even think about buying it.

It only gets complicated when you buy multiple things at once, there I either split it evenly or weighted depending on why I got that mixed offer (like I bought it just because of a single item the rest was irrelevant etc.).

I would just include the price for the note and the tax but not the postage. When I buy, I seldom buy just one note unless it's an expensive one. To include the postage is a bit messy to work it out for per note. I would not just buy one note for say $1 and then pay $7 to $8 for the postage. However, I do record all the postage cost separately paid for the purchase.

I include all the costs.
