Just shows what can turn up in your change! A nice find.

I have got 2 or 3 of these from circulation, sadly all with 'Two Pounds' on them!

Two 5kg gold coins didn't have any bids …. starting bids were £350,000 times must be hard!! 🙄 5kg!! That's just mad as a box of frogs can't call them coins … but apparently you can.

Still watching the auction … been following it live online … since this morning 🤪 Gives a good idea of what prices are …. some of the base metal coins surprised me.

Auction catalogue if anybody is interested … not sure how long it stays on line and they don't publish the results for a bit As I ty[e they just started lot 427

Saw a couple of batches of tokens go through which blew the estimates out the water,

Some of the low estimate coins at the estimate value of £80 shot past the few hundred mark which was obviously somebody trying to fill holes int heir collections by the bidding wars.

The Kitchener coin (Lot number 330) sold for £1120 catalogue estimate at the auction had it down for between £600-800

Some of the other items did rather well if anybody wants to have a nosey at the other realised prices here's the link
