Hello,

I was looking for an explaination for the waves design when I saw several mention of an “OMS” variety.

India 5 ruppes 2007 is referenced as stainless steel:

N#5698

and the variety is in Copper-Nickel HERE

not listed in the SCWC

So questions are :

Is it worth listing this variety on the Numista file?
As it is not the same metal, a mule, do we need to create a new sheet?
What does “OMS” mean? (proof?)
And if anyone has any idea on the hidden meaning of the design with waves..

Maybe it is Off Metal Strike as in wrong planchet.

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

And if anyone has any idea on the hidden meaning of the design with waves..

This Rs.5 coin was released with the theme 'CONNECTIVITY AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY'

The waves represents the two visual metaphors which depicts the smooth fluid mass representing the ceaseless flow of data/information in the ether.
