Certainly not an authentic 1870 2 reales. Haven't been able to find any info if this simply a counterfeit, a type of jeton, or like the British spade guinea. Metal looks brass or bronze not the silver of the actual 2 reales. Measurements are roughly the same as an actual silver. 6.8g, 28mm, and 1mm. Thanks for any info on it's background. 

 Presumably a counterfeit, and maybe made around that date - 

then if so we are looking at it around 150 years later, whereas when 

created it probably had a silver coating which has since worn off.

That makes sense. Thanks. I also noticed A “P C” instead of the “P H” in the lettering that doesn't match the one image in the numista archives.

Yes a brass, bronze or brass/bronze alloy CCC2R C&R. Scarce in lower denomination as compared to 8R's. The 1R, 1/2R & 4R are the most rare.
