Edit: Just realized this would do better in Numista Banknotes catalog. Apologies, still new to the site.
The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria commissioned a number of banknotes for their proclaimed 'Naxar' currency. They were printed in the UK in 1994, but most were destroyed at Grozny and only a few exceedingly rare examples seem to survive today. There also exists a number of fantasy coins for the Republic.

[If possible, a brief introduction presenting the history of this issuer with any numismatic considerations useful to the reader:]
The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, often known simply as Ichkeria or Chechnya, was a seperatist government which controlled what is now the Chechen Republic from 1991 to 2000, during the First and Second Chechen Wars. It created a range of specimen banknotes in the planned Naxar currency, but these never circulated and were mainly destroyed during the wars. The CRI continues to exist to this day as a government-in-exile.
