Ramadan Mubarak! To all of the Muslim members we have!
I wanted to make this post sooner but life gets in the way at times.
Salam to you my brothers and sisters, fellow collectors. I ask that Allah the Almighty accepts from you this Ramadan, Ameen. May Allah decrease the hardships being felt by our brothers and sisters across the globe and provide for them respite in this Holy Month, Ameen. May Allah the most Merciful allow us to gain from this Ramadan, Ameen. May Allah accept from our brothers and sisters who can not fast, in whatever good deeds and endeavors for the Sake of Allah they partake in, Ameen.
“O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful [of Allah]…And to fast is better for you, if only you knew!” - Quran 2:183-184
It is Reported that by Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah said: “Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven” (Bukhari and Muslim)
It is Reported by Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah said: “When Ramadan enters, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed and the devils are chained” (Bukhari and Muslim)
“So fasting is an abandonment of those things that the soul loves and desires, preferring instead Allah’s love and contentment. And it is a secret kept between the servant and his Lord – no one else is aware of it.”- Ibn Qayyim (RA)
“Fasting humiliates and weakens the devil, it weakens the effects of his whispers” Ibn Taymiyyah (RA)
