I have this coin from Calcutta (no mint mark) and in the coin page, that doesn't exist yet. Could you please arrange that?

Thanks in advance

Edit please tell me, when done, so I can enter my coin, please.

Dear Friend,

The above-mentioned coin was minted from Mumbai & Hyderabad mints only in both circulation and Set Issues.

Till now, no Kolkata issue was reported.

Normally Mumbai circulation issues are with better striking quality with clear mint marks.

But, Hyderabad circulation issues are not of good quality with half or 90% of the mint marks being weak, due to die fill error/ weak punching.

Thanks.

 Regards,

Ponpandi Perumal.

Hi,

I'm afraid I don't take that for a definitive answer. Please send  the documentation of this coin NOT having being issued in Calcutta. And still it might have, since the Indian coins are a beehive of contradictions and bad quality, which makes them so interesting to collect!

Take care

Ole

It makes very little sense to ask proofs of the absence of something. If you prove it was minted in Calcutta, then share it please :-)

Of course, you're right, but the proof would be an extract of the books from Calcutta, showing the year of this coin not to have been minted.
