Hello! Please help to understand.
What kind of Pomerania is this? And can't find this coin in numista list.
D-20.5 mm
Yes, Pomerania, Bishopric of Kammin: WCN :: Archiwum :: 306438
I think a candidate to be added to Numista.
Thank you tdziemia!
Need to collect additional information.
Mint Koszalin (Poland),
Olding 149, Hildisch 238, Slg. Hahn 1248.
Mayby someone has Ed.Kopicky number?
And are there any years or 1617 only.?
I see these coins are something different.
And I need help to translate the legend.
FFRANC.I.DG.DVX.S.POM.
ADSIT:AB:ALTO:
Obverse: ✿ FRANC · I · D : G · DVX · S · POM ✿
Unabridged: Franciscus I Dei Gratia Dux Stettin Pomeraniensis
Translation: Francis I by God's grace Duke of Stettin-Pomerania
I don't know the meaning of the reverse inscription.
On years, the 1615 WCN :: Archiwum :: 306450
and 1616 WCN :: Archiwum :: 310736 are also known. These two years have the date displayed slightly differently on the reverse (at end of legend instead of at top divided by the cross).
If WCN did not provide a Kopicki reference for this coin, I think it means the other references are more relevant.
The coin should be listed under Germany - German States > Cammin, Bishopric.
By the way, it is a very interesting coin, and seems to be a bit scarce in good condition like yours.
Thank you!
tdziemia

ADSIT AB ALTO is translated as (He help from on high).
The page (in Danish) has a picture - about halfway down - with a translation below.
The page [below] is about a church pulpit with various panels along it.
It is a quote from the Bible -
1st Cor. 3.6-7:
It's very interesting! Thank you, ZacUK!
