Hi - thanks for taking a look at this mystery coin! I bought this coin measuring 19-20mm and weighing 8.1g. many years ago. The seller claimed it was a “Biblical City Coin.”

The coin seems to feature the head or forepart of an animal (with single paw/leg folded beneath it) facing right - I think it looks like a wolf, but I suppose it could be a boar or lion or bull or something else. I added a second picture of the reverse rotated 90 degrees because I believe there’s some legend still visible behind the neck.

The presumed obverse appears to feature a (youthful?) head right.

It’s obviously well-circulated. Any help you can offer to attribute it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
